On tonight`s results show ofSo You Think You Can Dance, one of the top 9 finalists will be eliminated from the competition. And that`s not all_the cast of Cirque du Soleil`s VIVA Elvis show perform and Grammy-award winning singer Ne-Yo takes the point for his first televised performance of "Beautiful Monster.

Tonight`s new episode ofSo You Mean You Can Dance begins with the top 9 finalists dancing to a slow-moving but powerful contemporary routine. HostCat Deeley takes the point and introduces the judges,Adam Shankman,Mia Michaels, andNigel Lythgoe. Nigel uses the chance to discourse some of the changes that will have rank next week on the show: each of the top 8 finalists will be dancing twice. One dance will be with an All-Star partner they`ve never danced with and the other dance will be with a fellow finalist. Should be interesting.
Cat Deeley doesn`t need to extend the inevitable so she gets right to the results by bringing out the 1st four dancers:Alex,Ashley,AdeChike, andKent. Not surprisingly, Alex is safe after performing one of the greatest hip hop routines in So You Think You Can Dance history. There`s also good tidings for Ashley, AdeChike, and Kent as all 3 are good for another week.
The following three dancers join Cat Deeley to take their fate.Lauren`s flirty Broadway routine with All-StarNeil was plenty to save her round for another week.Robert andBilly nervously wait to hear the results from Cat and unfortunately, both of them will be dancing for their lives in the ass three. Although Billy and Robert are two of the greatest dancers in the show`s history, Mia Michaels thinks they want to play more personality and honesty to their performances if they want Us to clean up the sound and suffrage for them.
With just one place left in the ass three, eitherMelinda orJose will be facing elimination tonight. Hmm_wonder who it could be. The adorable breakdancer that everyone loves or the tap dancer who has been in the ass three every 1 week? In the most unsurprising news ever, Melinda is joining Robert and Billy in the ass three. And based on the judges harsh comments and critiques last night, it doesn`t seem like Melinda will be sticking around for another week. Adam Shankman advises her to "give up her bosom" in her solo if she wants to remain in the competition. If that fails, her gold sequins bra might do as an adequate diversion to confuse Nigel Lythgoe into keeping her around.
In a new sport of the show, Cat Deeley gives the at-home viewers a monitor of how two of the All-stars first became a piece of the show. Tonight the spot is on season 4 finalists, Mark andCourtney. After a brief video montage showcasing their talents, they get together onstage to do a wildly popular Sonja Tayeh routine from their season on the show. "The Garden" is by far one of the best Sonja Tayeh routines ever choreographed for the show. And Brand is the quintessential dancer to do the quirky choreographer`s eccentric routines.
Following Brand and Courtney`s performance, the form of the Cirque du Soleil VIVA Elvis show takes the point for an Elvis-inspired dance montage. Decked out in army fatigues and tank tops, the troupe does a cool stomp routine complete with some acrobatics. Not surprisingly, the dance group also features a couple So You Think You Can Dance alums, Chris and Marquis from season 3. Yeah, I don`t think them either.
Next, it`s time for Billy, Melinda, and Robert to dance_for_.their_.lives. Dear God, I don`t need any of these three to be sent to the gallows! Oh wait_they`re not really going to be killed, just eliminated from the show. That`s practically just as bad. Billy is up first and delivers a moving contemporary routine. Robert seems to be channeling his inner Mark or Sonja Tayeh for his quirky and unusual solo. Lastly, Melinda takes the degree and opts to do an entire tap routine sans music.
While the judges deliberate about which dancer will be eliminated (like we don`t already know), Ne-Yo entertains the herd with the first televised performance of his hit single "Beautiful Monster." He`s channeling his inner Usher with his cause and fedora getup and plenty of scantily clad backup dancers. Although, can they technically be called dancers when all they do is walk around and slut it up in lacy outfits? I remember not. Regardless, the call is super catchy and Ne-Yo can definitely move.
The judges take from their deliberation to have the intelligence to Billy, Robert, and Melinda. Nigel Lythgoe, Mia Michaels, and Adam Shankman were unanimous in their determination and don`t waste anytime notifying tap dancer Melinda that she`ll be going the competition tonight.
